Frequently Asked Questions

What are the therapy rates?

Rates vary according to the type of service and the therapist. For guidance: students $100, individual $130, couples $150. Contact us to confirm availability and rates.

Do you provide insurance receipts?

Yes, for individual and couple therapy. Receipts can be issued under the naturopathy category (depending on your insurer’s terms).

What forms of payment are accepted?

Once the consultation date is set, we will send you an invoice by email. Payment must be made within 48 h to confirm your session. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Interac transfers to info@maisontherapie.ca (security response: Maison).

How often do sessions take place?

Generally, sessions occur once a week, which helps maintain a regular connection and progress steadily in the therapeutic process. However, frequency can be adjusted according to your needs, availability and the type of support desired.

How long is a therapy?

Duration may vary considerably from one person to another, depending on the nature of the difficulties and the objectives targeted. You will have the opportunity to discuss this with your therapist either when booking or at the beginning of sessions, so as to establish a framework that suits you.

How can I book a first appointment?

For a first session, you can complete the form by clicking here, or reach us by phone at (514) 265-1321, or by email at info@maisontherapie.ca.

Do you work with unmarried couples?

Yes. Sessions are offered to adult couples, married or not, of all ages and orientations, regardless of the stage of the relationship.

Is it possible to have therapy with two people even if we are not a couple?

Yes, therapy can be beneficial for two people who wish to improve their relationship, whether friends, family members, ex-partners or any other meaningful bond. What matters is the shared desire to better understand each other and strengthen communication.

Why should I undertake therapy?

Therapy gives you time for yourself or for your couple, to put words to what you’re going through and better understand your reactions, your needs and relational dynamics. It helps you navigate difficult periods, improve communication, make informed decisions or simply feel more aligned with yourself and the other. Whether it’s a personal or a joint journey, therapy offers a space to evolve, understand and reconnect.

I’ve never had therapy. What should I expect?

The first session is a time to take stock and better understand what you’re experiencing. The therapist will take the time to listen, ask questions to identify what you’re going through, the steps already taken and the important elements of your story or your relationship.

In couple therapy, each person will have the chance to speak and be heard. The objective of the first sessions is also to clarify what you wish to improve or transform. Afterwards, the therapeutic work adapts to your pace, depending on your goals and the evolution of the process.

Cancellation policy:

If you need to cancel or modify your appointment, it can be done free of charge up to 48 hours in advance.

For any cancellation the same day or in case of absence at the appointment, the full session fee will be charged.

Any schedule change within 48 hours results in administrative fees equal to 50% of the session rate.

Thank you for your understanding.
